Freshsqueezed Fabric Sale

An empty etsy shop!!!!

Well I just up and opened up an etsy shop! And I can't wait to fill it with handmade pretties. I don't know if I am doing this the right way, or if there is a right way? Starting out with an empty shop?! I am actually pretty nervous about the whole thing. I think it's the shipping and customer service. I want to do it right, and am so scared of royally messing up something! I want to make things that are really well made, that will stand up to whatever it is they are being made for. Oh, and not to mention the time management thing! I don't want my little family (um, I mean big family!), and my little home, and my little life to just fall apart here. I see this venture as making things when I can and seeing if anyone's interested! I have thought about doing craft shows, but I don't have the time right now to have a bunch of things made at once. So, I'll see how it goes...the shop may close down in a month, who knows?! But I am hoping it's a big success, of course!

Isn't that just beautiful? Well, it isn't as it was when I took it. It was oh so beautiful. This is the Hogue's home over Valentine's weekend. We went to visit on Sat, after the big and wonderful southern snow on Friday. We drove up and the sun was setting, right there, down the country road. And there was snow on the ground (so so rare for Louisiana!), and there was that tree, and the sun was huge! etc, etc. So I jumped out of the car and took some pictures. I was amazed at how quickly the sun was setting. In a matter of minutes, the sun was gone.

Well I have actually made a little money sewing. My dear friend, Kelli, gave me my first paid sewing job ever! And let me just say that it was so great to have someone confident enough in me to actually pay me! I couldn't thank her enough, she has encouraged me so much, along with many others. She even made me a little envelope thing to keep my $ and receipts in. Right now it holds my payment from her and truly, I am so proud of that cash that I don't know if I can spend it! Well, I am too sure I will soon enough, but not yet!
